The three tombs from this period currently open to the public–Menna, Nakht, and Thutmes–are among the most interesting nobles’ tombs at Thebes and should be a part of any tourist itinerary. The subject-matter of their scenes is standard, but their decoration is innovative and informal, brightly colored and filled with details that are at once amusing and informative. The tombs are cramped, but they each deserve a leisurely visit.
